Warranty & Extended Warranty Policy

At Goodwin RV, we work with both manufacturer warranties and many extended warranty providers. Because each warranty company has different policies, coverage and approval are determined solely by the warranty provider.

To avoid confusion, please review the following information regarding warranty repairs.

Warranty Authorization​

Most warranty repairs require authorization from the manufacturer or extended warranty provider before work can begin. This process may require diagnosis, photos, documentation, and communication with the warranty provider.

If authorization cannot be obtained during the initial visit, additional time or a return visit may be required.

Mobile Service Call Fees

Manufacturer warranties typically do not cover mobile service call or trip fees. These fees are the responsibility of the customer and will be charged regardless of warranty coverage.

If a second visit is required to complete the repair or obtain authorization, an additional service call fee may apply.

Diagnostic Time

Time spent diagnosing a problem may not be covered by all warranty providers. If diagnostic time is not approved by the warranty company, the customer is responsible for those charges.

Warranty Claim Approval

Warranty providers determine what is covered, including:

  • Parts

  • Labor time

  • Diagnostic charges

If a claim is denied or only partially approved, the customer is responsible for any remaining balance, including labor, parts, service call fees, and applicable taxes.

Extended Warranty Policies

We work with many extended warranty companies; however:

  • Coverage varies by policy

  • Labor allowances may differ from actual repair time

  • Deductibles may apply

Customers are responsible for any deductibles and any charges not approved by the warranty provider.

Parts Availability

Warranty parts are supplied by the manufacturer or warranty provider. Shipping delays or backorders are outside of our control.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for providing accurate warranty information including policy numbers, VIN, and contact details.

Payment for all non-covered charges is due upon completion of service.

If you’re dealing with an urgent issue outside regular hours, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll do our best to respond quickly and get you back on the road. Please note: after-hours and emergency services may be subject to additional fees.
